Saw:
A horror thriller, with enough blood and gore to satisfy aficionados of this genre. Two men find themselves chained up in a raunchy underground bathroom with a dead body in a pool of blood between them. They have no idea how they got there. The only things they have are a tape from the maniac who put them there and a saw which will not cut their chains but will serve to cut off a limb if they really, really want to free themselves. The trailers for this film were very good.

Saw II:
Jigsaw locks a few unlucky people in a booby trapped shelter and they must find a way out before they inhale too much of a lethal nerve gas and die. But they must watch out, for the traps Jigsaw has set in the shelter lead to death also.

Thanks to his new apprentice Amanda, Jigsaw has escaped and eluded capture. While the police struggle to locate him, Dr. Lynn Denlon is unaware that she is about to become the latest player in one of his twisted games. One night, after finishing a shift at her hospital, Lynn is kidnapped and taken to an abandoned warehouse where she meets Jigsaw, bedridden and on the verge of death. She is told that she must keep the killer alive for as long as it takes another one of his victims, Jeff, to complete a game of his own. Racing against the ticking clock of Jigsaw's own heartbeat, Lynn and Jeff struggle to make it through each of their vicious tests, unaware that he has a much bigger plan for both of them.
